WHO IS CHRISTOPHER FERNANDEZ?
"Life is what is happening NOW, while we make plans for the FUTURE," this motto is, Chris Fernandez.
I was born in Malaysia and grew up in Singapore. I left after graduating from the University of Singapore in 1973 and joined the Toronto Police Force. I am currently attached to the Complaint's Bureau where I work as a Detective.
I enjoy reading and travelling in the winter. In the summer I spend alot of time on Loki, my 21 foot sail boat on Lake Ontario. My work as a detective in the complaint's bureau allows me to spend more time on the tennis courts than the criminal ones.
Twenty two years as a police officer has shown me, "Man's life at its worst of times," so I have made a conscious effort to see the best life has to offer during the seven weeks holidays I get, by travelling to all the exotic dive locations of the world.
My single most treasured possession is my daughter Sarah. Who I don't see much off, as my wife and I are no longer together. I hope one day she will take up scuba diving and also be able to play tennis.
My goal for 1997 is to go to Singapore and try out the Fieno Rebreather. I would also like to visit the new dive resort at Sangalakki in Kalimantan that is run by Borneo Divers.
